At peak times, your laboratory no longer leaves a single call unanswered.

Every morning, calls about opening hours, sample preparation or appointments swamp the medical laboratory’s switchboard. Alyas absorbs this flow: it answers practical questions from your documents and frees up the reception team.

Frequently asked questions

Does a patient calling about a blood test know they aren’t speaking to the laboratory’s reception?

The agent opens every call by introducing itself as an AI and stating that the conversation is recorded. The patient can ask for a member of the team: the call is transferred to the number configured by the laboratory, or the request is noted for a callback. See also our guide to what the GDPR and the AI Act require.

A doctor or a clinic calls the laboratory: does the agent treat them like a patient?

You can set a specific instruction for calls from healthcare professionals, for example a direct transfer to the configured number. Whoever the caller is, the agent never passes on a result or any record information.

The laboratory has several sites: can a single agent answer for all of them?

It can give the opening hours, addresses and access conditions of each site, as long as you provide them. However, it has only one transfer number: choose a central line that can route callers to the right site.

Can the agent give patients their test results?

No, never. Results belong to the patient record and to the laboratory’s authorised staff. The agent explains this to the caller and directs them to your results server or your team, according to the instructions you set.
