Vehicle inspection centre: appointments and re-tests booked between two cars.

On the lift, between a brake test and a number plate check, the inspector cannot run to the counter at every ring. The Alyas agent books appointments and answers questions about re-tests and the documents to bring, using your centre’s information.

Frequently asked questions

Is a driver calling about a re-test told that an AI is answering?

Yes: the agent says so as soon as it picks up, specifying that the conversation is recorded. If the driver wants to speak to an inspector or the counter, the call is transferred to the number configured by the centre. See also our guide to what the GDPR and the AI Act require.

A customer calls about a motorhome or a van: does the agent know whether the centre can take it?

It answers based on the vehicle categories you have specified. If the information is missing, for example on size or weight, it notes the registration number and the type of vehicle and passes the request on to the team.

Our network already has a booking website: does the agent replace it?

No, it adds to the phone line. To book appointments itself, it needs Google Calendar or Cal.com; a network booking tool first requires a compatibility check.

Does the agent know my centre’s re-test rules?

It answers from the information your centre provides: deadlines, dedicated slots, documents to bring. If a question falls outside this scope, it captures the contact details and passes the request on to the team with a summary.
