Kavkom alternative: a full cloud phone system or an AI voice agent that answers your calls?

Kavkom is a cloud VoIP phone system for businesses and contact centres: numbers, calling apps, IVR, supervision, built-in CRM, predictive dialling and AI transcription. Alyas covers only part of that scope: it picks up instead of a person, responds to callers, takes their details and transfers the call if needed. It is an alternative for a small business that mainly wants to stop missing calls, and a complement for a team that is on the phone all day.

What Kavkom is

Kavkom presents itself as a cloud telephony solution for businesses, from call centres to customer service teams and remote workers. It offers virtual landline and mobile numbers, apps for calling from a browser, a computer or a smartphone, an interactive voice response (IVR) system, call cascades and ring groups, call recording, statistics and a real-time dashboard.

The offer also targets teams that make a lot of calls: supervision (silent listening, whisper coaching, barge-in), a built-in hybrid CRM, native integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or Zoho, API and webhook access, and predictive dialling add-ons for prospecting.

Where AI fits in at Kavkom

On its pricing page, Kavkom includes AI call transcription and summaries from the Pack Plus upwards, with search across transcripts and a status showing whether the customer’s request was resolved. These features analyse conversations held by your own staff.

The same page lists a campaign-oriented add-on called “Agent vocal automatisé” (automated voice agent): reminders, collecting answers, customer satisfaction surveys. It is shown from €83 excl. VAT per month of access billed annually, then charged per minute (as of 1 October 2026). Kavkom’s help centre also describes AI agents able to handle incoming calls, qualify callers, book appointments and transfer calls. If answering incoming calls is what interests you, ask Kavkom which plan covers it and at what price.

When Alyas is an alternative

A business without a call centre, such as a practice, a tradesperson or an agency of a few people, does not necessarily need to equip call handlers: what matters is that someone picks up during appointments, while on site or in the evening.

In that case, Alyas answers 24/7 based on the information you provide (website, text, PDF), states that it is an AI and that the call is being recorded, takes the caller’s details, offers an appointment via Google Calendar or Cal.com and sends you a transcript and a summary. The same content powers a chat widget for your website. Data is hosted in the European Union.

When Alyas is a complement

A sales team or customer service department working in Kavkom needs its calling apps, IVR, supervision and CRM integrations: Alyas does not replace them, and it does not send SMS. It can, however, take calls outside opening hours or calls that go unanswered.

Kavkom lists time-based routing schedules in all its packs and, from the Pack Plus upwards, external transfers, meaning the transfer of a call to a number outside the company. To hand part of your calls automatically to an external voice agent, for example outside opening hours or when nobody answers, check with Kavkom which forwarding scenarios are available in your set-up.

Our verdict

A business that needs to equip several people to make and take calls, supervise agents or run outbound campaigns needs a full phone system such as Kavkom. A small business without a receptionist, whose only concern is answering every incoming call, will find Alyas a more direct solution, and a team already on Kavkom can use it for the calls it cannot take.

Frequently asked questions

Is Kavkom a business phone system?

Yes. Kavkom is a cloud VoIP telephony service that provides numbers, calling apps, IVR, ring groups, supervision and a built-in CRM. It is aimed at small businesses and contact centres alike.

Can Alyas replace Kavkom?

Only if all you need is for an AI to answer incoming calls. Alyas provides no softphone, no keypad IVR, no supervision, no outbound calls and no SMS, and it transfers to a single number.

Can Alyas be used alongside Kavkom?

Yes, if your Kavkom set-up lets you forward certain calls to an external number, for example outside opening hours or when nobody answers. Alyas then answers, takes the caller’s details and sends you a summary. Check the available scenarios with Kavkom.
