AirAgent alternative: two AI voice agents, what are the differences?

AirAgent is an AI voice agent from a French company: it answers calls, books appointments, transfers to the right person and can also be used for reminder calls and lead qualification. Alyas does the same core job, AI phone answering, with a narrower scope. The two are similar; the differences lie mainly in the options and the billing.

What AirAgent is

AirAgent is a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered in Paris. Its product is an AI voice agent, also known as a callbot, which answers calls from a knowledge base, schedules, confirms and reschedules appointments, transfers to the right person or department, and records calls for analysis.

AirAgent also highlights outward-facing uses: automated voice reminders for appointments or deadlines, and lead qualification. It offers an API and connectors to CRMs such as Salesforce or HubSpot, a “voice chatbot” widget to install on a website, and a set-up service by an AI engineer, charged from €490 according to its pricing page.

How AirAgent is billed

As of 1 October 2026, AirAgent’s pricing page shows four no-commitment plans, from Starter (€89 excl. VAT per month, or €71 excl. VAT per month billed annually) to Enterprise (€499 excl. VAT per month), plus a custom offer. Each plan combines a monthly price, a per-minute price shown alongside it (from €0.30 to €0.21 excl. VAT depending on the plan), a number of included calls (beyond that, the agent keeps going at an extra cost), and a set number of AI agents, phone numbers and simultaneous calls.

SMS messages are charged at €0.10 excl. VAT each. The FAQ also gives the cost of an additional knowledge base or an additional simultaneous call channel. This model adjusts closely to volume, but you need to estimate your minutes carefully to forecast the bill.

What sets Alyas apart

Alyas focuses on answering incoming calls. It answers 24/7 based on your website, a text or a PDF, states that it is an AI and that the call is being recorded, takes the caller’s details, offers an appointment via Google Calendar or Cal.com, transfers to a configured number and sends you a transcript and summary. The same content powers a chat widget for your website, whereas AirAgent’s widget is a voice chatbot.

In practical terms, Alyas runs on a monthly subscription that includes minutes, hosts data in the European Union and offers a 10-day trial with no credit card required. On the other hand, Alyas does not send SMS, does not route calls to multiple departments and does not make campaign calls.

Which one to choose

If you need SMS, several agents or numbers, transfers to different departments, outbound reminder calls or a CRM integration via API, AirAgent covers more use cases and will probably be the better choice.

If what you need is to get a line answered, give callers information, take their details or book an appointment and pass important calls to you on a single number, Alyas is enough, with a subscription that includes minutes and data hosted in the EU. The simplest approach is still to try both on your own calls.

Our verdict

AirAgent suits businesses that want a versatile voice agent: several agents, SMS, routing to multiple departments, outbound reminder calls and API integrations. Alyas suits those that want simple AI phone answering, focused on incoming calls, with minutes included in the subscription and hosting in the EU.

Frequently asked questions

Do AirAgent and Alyas do the same thing?

Essentially, yes: both answer the phone with AI, give callers information, book appointments via Google Calendar or Cal.com, transfer calls and offer a widget for your website, a voice chat widget at AirAgent and a chat widget at Alyas. AirAgent adds, among other things, SMS, outbound reminder calls and routing to multiple departments; Alyas, for its part, hosts data in the European Union.

How does AirAgent bill minutes?

As of 1 October 2026, its pricing page shows, for each plan, a monthly price excl. VAT alongside a per-minute price, for example €89 excl. VAT per month with the note “+ 0,30 € par min H.T” (+ €0.30 per min excl. VAT) for the Starter plan. For an accurate quote based on your volume, contact AirAgent.

Does Alyas send SMS to callers?

No. Alyas takes the caller’s details during the call and sends you a transcript and a summary; it does not send SMS. If a confirmation or follow-up SMS is essential, a solution that offers it will be a better fit.
